About Us
The aim of this society is to promote the interest and study of Chinese characters as wells as the cultures they have influenced. More specifically the historical, linguistics and literary influence of these characters on countries within the Sinosphere (e.g: China, Japan, Korea, Taiwan, Vietnam). The society is open to members of all knowledge levels. From academic experts in the field to curious newcomers, the participation and contribution of all members is welcome.
Discussion forum: A place to learn and discuss about various aspects of the world of Chinese characters from Oracle bones to character dictionaries and much more.
Reading group: We will be reading group for classical Chinese texts alongside our discussion forum. Our chosen text for this year will be The Classic of Filial Piety (孝經). ]
