Bars Café and Retail Assistants - APPLICATION FORM
– £13.15 per hour.
Description:
The SOAS student union re-opens in September, and we are now recruiting the staff team to help us run all of the commercial services in our fantastic newly refurbished spaces.
There is work available in the following areas:
- The Union Bar
- Union Shop and Retail
- Coffee Pod
We are looking for a team who can provide excellent customer experience and who can help us deliver a great student experience so if you are looking for work in a high paced and exciting space, we want to hear from you.
We have the opportunity to provide work at all hours – so being ready to work in mornings, evenings and at weekends would be an advantage. We are seeking students wanting to work a variety of hours and we’ll recruit people wanting to work as few as 8hours per week to 24hours per week.
Student Shop
A very busy newly refurbished convenience store located in the JCR. It is fast paced, we require lively people who have a good rapport with customers and respond quickly to queues.
- Commercial Staff?- You must be able to work in a team environment as well as being able to motivate yourself to work on your own. Main responsibilities will involve working on the counter serving customers and quickly replenishing stock on the shelves. This role will also include some lifting when unpacking deliveries.
Coffee Pod
Located in the Paul Webley wing. Busily and faced paced during peak hours, we require energetic people who are engaging and friendly to deliver an exceptional student experience and respond to queues quickly.
- Commercial Staff - You must be able to work in a team environment as well as being able to motivate yourself to work on your own. Main responsibilities will involve working on the counter serving customers and quickly replenishing stock on the shelves. This role will also include some lifting when unpacking deliveries. Barista experience preferred but not essential.
Bar
A bar on SOAS Campus. We do prefer people with previous bar experience, although this is not essential.
- Commercial Staff- Serving customers at the bar, clearing tables. You will need to be self-motivated, keen and work well as part of a team during peak hours, be personable with customers in a fun and professional manner, whilst providing excellent student experiences.
