About Us
The SOAS Law Journal is a student-led publication that provides a platform for critical legal scholarship that reflects the diversity of thought within the College of Law.
Established in 2014 as SOAS's flagship legal journal, the Law Journal is rooted in SOAS's world-renowned focus on Asia, Africa and the Middle East, though with a remit that spans the wider international landscape.
Edited and published entirely by SOAS law students, the SOAS Law Journal remains committed to its founding vision—to centre critical perspectives and amplify legal discourse from and about the Global South, while actively engaging with scholarship worldwide. Submissions are open to contributors outside SOAS, reflecting our aim to foster a more global and inclusive legal community.
