Islaah Collective

About Us

Who We Are
Islaah is a Muslim student collective at SOAS conceived as a vehicle for practical Islam. We are a space for students who want to explore, express, and act upon their faith in the context of today's social and political challenges. We believe Islam provides a holistic blueprint for life, and our mission is to move beyond theoretical discussion into tangible, meaningful action.

Our vision is to develop confident, capable, and critically-minded Muslim leaders, thinkers, and changemakers.

What We Do
Our work is structured around three core pillars:

  • Reform: Shift your perspective. We foster the critical thinking needed to see Islam as a holistic blueprint for life, far beyond just rituals.

  • Development: Grow with purpose. We build your capacity with practical skills to become a thoughtful leader and effective changemaker in any space you occupy.

  • Empowerment: Take ownership. Islaah is not a top-down society. We equip and empower you to lead your own initiatives, both within our collective and beyond.
