About Us
We are the SOAS branch of Rethinking Economics International, a group working towards curriculum change towards a more Pluralist Economics. This means we want to see and education that is more:
1. Representative of different schools of thought; let us learn about degrowth and feminist economics and Marx!
2. Interdisciplinary; acknowledges that the economy is part of the rest of the world and is political.
3. Allows for various research methods; economics is not just math and we have to stop pretending it is!
We are also passionate about economics communication; to make economics accessible to all.
We host book launches, debates, panel discussions, socials, movie screenings, workshops- everything! Often with cool external speakers! Join us and tell us what else you would like to see.
