About Us
We are a group of SOAS students who meet every Monday to engage in casual discussions about the more interesting sides of philosophy. Our main goal is to make philosophical discussions accessible to everyone, regardless of academic background, and to show that philosophy is not just for highbrow academics but is relevant to everyday life.
Past discussions have included topics like:
● Cannibalism
● Kierkegaard
● Conspiracy Theories
● Free will
● Time
● Tumblr
● Teenage Angst
No experience is necessary, and there are no right answers—just a space to share ideas and learn a bit about philosophy without taking ourselves too seriously (often with pizza involved!). Everyone’s voice and opinion is equally valid. Join us every Monday from 6-8pm in MB227, with optional drinks in the SU afterwards, or if you have any questions please email soasdeadphilosophers@gmail.com
