Justice For Workers

About Us

Since 2006, Justice for Workers (J4W) has played a major role in student-staff advocacy for equitable treatment, accountability, and solidarity at SOAS. Through rallies, social gatherings, and workshops, this year’s campaign embodies our foundational values and hopes to uplift the next generation of student activists on campus. Whether it be as a translator, protestor, writer, or artist, there is space for your voice here!

Did you know that the 19 janitorial staff currently employed by SOAS keep our entire campus clean and healthy-- an amount of work that was assigned to 52 cleaners before the COVID pandemic? Justice for Workers believes that knowledge is power, especially in the hands of a unified student body and staff that are aware of their rights and feel empowered to exercise them in the face of intimidation and the threat of outsourcing.
