The tell me about it initiative is created so that if you, as students, have any feedback about your course, then you can talk to the student representatives of your course. Your programme and department reps are students, elected by you, who will be volunteering their time to listen to your feedback and tell the university what needs changing.

SOAS SU will be delivering a support group for survivors of sexual violence,
You can expect:
- Peer led discussions
- To provide a space for creative expressions though art, literature and music
- Resourcing students with mindfulness and grounding techniques
The group is for those who are looking for continued support and can commit to attending regularly. There are limited places in this group, and all students who sign up will be accessed to ensure that we can provide the right support for you. Stranded Gods: Comparing Human-Whale Relations and Ritual Lifeworlds in Japan and Vietnam
This lecture compares human-whale relations, environmental change, and ritual practices in coastal regions of Japan and Vietnam, which share a similar logic and are undergoing similar transformations today.

J Michael Rogers Memorial Lecture: Sovereignty materialized - Sartorial presence and perpetuity in Ottoman Kingship
This lecture will explore the satorial dimensions of Ottoman embodied kingship, and especially how costume served to perpetuate the sultan's aura post-modern.

Muslims in Public Policy – Inspiring & connecting current and future public policy professionals
MIPP offer development opportunities by providing access to public policy professionals working in the Civil Service (central government), Local Authorities (local government) and arms-length bodies.
We also seek to provide opportunities to strengthen networking and shared learning within the current public policy workforce.

Vantage allows these firms and chambers to headhunt specific students to offer them several unique and relevant opportunities, from insight days and events to training contracts and pupillage opportunities. SOAS Goes to Calais (17-18th February)
For the past 10 years, students from SOAS have travelled to Calais to volunteer with the refugee and aid agencies.
At the present time, there are 3500 people on the move, who are living in freezing conditions along the sea shore. Our solidarity makes a difference.
This trip is open to all students, and staff, and also people from outside SOAS.
