Launch of 'World on Fire'

'Our Souls Ought To Be On Fire & Yet No One Seems Awake” ~ Susan B. Anthony

Dear SOAS students,

There is not a single place in the world that is not ravaged by burning injustice and suffering. Globally and historically, students are and have been in the forefront of movements for change. Although I am immensely proud to be a part of acommunity with such a vibrant student activism culture, I know that we can do more.

The Students’ Union’s new initiative ‘A World on Fire’ aims to put your souls on fire and support and facilitate your activism by:
- Organising events on local and international issues that covers both what is going on and how you can get involved.
- Offering trainings (on campaigning, graphic design, social media, media etc) to improve your campaigning skills.
- Supporting your campaigns on campus (by giving advice, organising an event on the issue you are working on for eg) and beyond (collaborate with other students unions, contact the media etc).
