Celebrate Mongolian Lunar New Year at SOAS!

Join us on Monday, 16 February 2026, from 18:00–20:00 in the Junior Common Room (JCR) at SOAS Main Building for a cozy and joyful celebration of Tsagaan Sar, the Mongolian Lunar New Year. Organised by the SOAS Mongolian Society in collaboration with the Mongolian Student Union UK, this event offers a wonderful opportunity to experience Mongolian traditions, food, and community spirit.

Guests will be treated to traditional Mongolian dumplings (buuz) and soft drinks, alongside a range of relaxed and social activities, including calligraphy, card games, and board games. Whether you are familiar with Mongolian culture or discovering it for the first time, this evening is designed to be welcoming, convivial, and festive.
