Activist Breakfast
When: Fri 13 October 2017 10:00-12:00
Where: Junior Common Room (JCR)
SOAS Students' Union invites you to an activist breakfast on Friday 13th October in the Junior Common Room from 10AM to 12PM where you can come and discuss everything that is going on at SOAS, such as this; ask questions about the history of campaigns at SOAS; plan the events that need to happen to inform students and strategise the actions that need to challenge these different exclusions.
As Audre Lorde said, in Learning from the 60s (1982), "There is no such thing as a single-issue struggle because we do not live single-issue lives." So, bring along all your questions, ideas, and passions.
If you’ve got questions about Democratise SOAS, who SOAS Senior Management is, how do we challenge the marketisation of Higher Education, what is the extent of inequality at SOAS, hopefully you will find some answers here.
Also, we can start planning for actions around the National Free Education demonstration on 15th November 2017. Days of action, crafternoons, community events, etc!
Finally, it will also be a space to discuss the upcoming Union General Meeting in the evening of that Friday 13th October.
See you there, bring your friends & partners in struggle!
