About this event

We all know what we should be doing to look after ourselves… 

but we are too busy, too overwhelmed, and too exhausted. Right? 

Wrong! Under stress, we are more likely to be drawn into ‘busy’ and make bad decisions due to decreased cognitive functioning. 

As part of National Stress Awareness Day, this session is open to SOAS staff and student reps, and will cover:

  • The impact of stress on the brain;
  • Evidence-based techniques that you can implement immediately to improve your cognitive functioning;
  • How to enhance your physical and mental resilience during challenging times and further sources of support.

This session will be virtual and hosted on Zoom by Kimberly Hovish, Learning Business Partner at SOAS.
