Hello!

SOAS Film Soc are teaming up with the Law Society for a screening of the powerful documentary, 13th. Filmmaker Ava DuVernay explores the history of racial inequality in the United States, focusing on the fact that the nation's prisons are disproportionately filled with African-Americans.

We invite you to join us on zoom at 6.45pm on Friday 15th January for a short introduction before we watch the film on our own devices at 7pm. 13th is available to watch on Netflix through its paid subscription and on Youtube for free. You are more than welcome to watch the documentary on your own time before Friday and then join us at 8.45pm for a discussion.

Register on eventbrite to join us and to receive the meeting link which will be released on the day.
