Hi! I’m Anahita, a final year Politics and International Relations student and I want to be your co-President for activities and events next year!
As an Iranian girl, I am lucky to call London, and especially SOAS my home. I want to build on the amazing work done so far to give SOAS another year full of events that celebrate our diversity, inclusivity and positivity to ensure you are supported, entertained and celebrated in your next academic year

- Mass debate events and socials in the jcr to encourage political engagement and participation

- Bigger, better, busier late licenses and SOAS parties

SPORTS
- Bigger, busier sports nights
- Investment in the SOAS gym
- Regular meetings with sports reps and society leaders// captains to gather news, updates, concerns and plans in order to provide adequate support
- More sport specific socials to increase participation and publicity
INCLUSIVITY
To build a community of strength and support for students of all walks of life through our activism, events and networks
- Free community breakfasts in the jcr to get to know other students
- Get to know London events and trips
- A buddy system for freshers, volunteer students from higher years ‘buddy’ up with a new incoming student to provide advice and guidance throughout their first term
- To work with student representatives and the student body to provide events that include and involve all our groups, especially our marginalised groups to ensure the representation they deserve
