WHO AM I?

  • Current SOAS Academic Affairs Officer
  • Part-Time Masters student reading Politics of Conflict, Rights and Justice (MSc)
  • Exeter University graduate who served as:
    • Year Group Rep twice
    • Employability Officer
    • Library Champion, entailing managing a £3,000 budget

WHY VOTE FOR ME:

I will:

  • Campaign for the mitigating circumstances process to be reviewed and for better support for those applying for it
  • Set up a ‘Borders Off Campus’ society, aiming to support a 'Sanctuary Campus' policy for our University
  • Support existing campaigns, including Preventing Prevent, J4W, FFFP, and remain a member of the Decolonise SOAS Working Group

MY WELFARE CAMPAIGN SUPPORTS:

  • Enough is Enough
  • Sexual Health Screenings
  • Student Mental Health Awareness, including overseeing Mental Health Awareness Week
  • SOAS Sports societies’ engagement with Mental Health Awareness, including adding the Mind Logo to jersey designs
  • The creation of a Black Student’s Officer
  • Bi-termly socials for international students in conjunction with the International Students Officer
