WHO AM I?
- Current SOAS Academic Affairs Officer
- Part-Time Masters student reading Politics of Conflict, Rights and Justice (MSc)
- Exeter University graduate who served as:
- Year Group Rep twice
- Employability Officer
- Library Champion, entailing managing a £3,000 budget
WHY VOTE FOR ME:
I will:
- Campaign for the mitigating circumstances process to be reviewed and for better support for those applying for it
- Set up a ‘Borders Off Campus’ society, aiming to support a 'Sanctuary Campus' policy for our University
- Support existing campaigns, including Preventing Prevent, J4W, FFFP, and remain a member of the Decolonise SOAS Working Group
MY WELFARE CAMPAIGN SUPPORTS:
- Enough is Enough
- Sexual Health Screenings
- Student Mental Health Awareness, including overseeing Mental Health Awareness Week
- SOAS Sports societies’ engagement with Mental Health Awareness, including adding the Mind Logo to jersey designs
- The creation of a Black Student’s Officer
- Bi-termly socials for international students in conjunction with the International Students Officer
