KATOUCHE GOLL

My name is Katouche, and I am in my final year of my History degree. This year I had the amazing opportunity to be the Disabled Students and Carers’ Officer. As a member of the exec I was able to learn from the challenges I faced in the role and I would love to be the SU Sabbatical Officer of Equality and Liberation to help foster an environment at SOAS that welcomes minorities and those from all liberation groups.

Liberation

  • I would like to create a consensus on political education and how it affects minorities at this university as it does more widely.

  • I would like to persist in finding ways to close the attainment gap for BME students.

Equality

  • I want to enable you all to also better understand how to maximise your SOAS experience by making the information you need more readily accessible to you.
  • I would like to continue my efforts to improve access for disabled students within and outside the classroom.
