VASUNDHARA PANDEY

Hi folks

My name is Vasundhara Pandey ( You can call me Vasu) and I am running for the position of Post
Graduate Taught Officer. My pronouns are she/her.

Why? Because:
1. I am myself a postgraduate student, therefore I understand our issues more closely.
2. I believe the representation of students’ interests at each the level is important.
3. Most of the postgraduate students are doing a one-year course, which means we have just one
year to absorb all the opportunities, exposure, and experience. This is important to make our
university experience more enriching and supplement the overall academic experience.
Who, am I? What have I done?
Of course, if you are choosing me as your representative, you should know who am I?
I am from India. I have joined the Gender Studies MA cohort for the year 2021-2022. I am menstrual
health and a gender educator. I run a small think tank in India. I believe in creating a safe space wherein
our thoughts are free.

What do I plan to do if I get elected?

If elected I would aim to:
1. Improve the course choices.
2. Improve the module sign-up process and provide student support for the same.
3. On-campus Recruitment
4. Transform the SOAS user experience and interface.
5. Form a Global alumni network for each Department.
