Money for running your club or society

All sports clubs and societies get a budget from SOAS SU to run your core activities. You apply for your budget at the beginning of the year as part of the registration or re-registration process.
You can also raise money for your student group through fundraising and sponsorships - talk to us if you want more ideas or support for raising additional funding.
We make the clubs & societies budgets available for all students to view. The spreadsheet is updated regularly, and you can see the date of the most recent update at the top right of the spreadsheet. To claim money from your budget you need to complete a Claims Form (PDF or Word) and submit this to the SU Finance Manager.
The form must be signed or sent by the President, Captain or Treasurer, and you must send a receipt or invoice with the form.
You can only claim for expenses that match up to the budget we approved, if you want to spend money in a different way you'lll need to get that approved by the Co-President Activities & Events first, otherwise we may not reimburse the payment.
