We understand that several students were disrupted ahead of their Family Law II exam on Monday 18th May 2026.
Within the Students’ Union Advice Service, it is our job to help you understand your options, make informed decisions, and feel confident taking the next step, whatever that may be for you. To raise this concern as efficiently and effectively as possible, it would be useful to gauge how many students have been affected by the events on Monday 18th May, and of those students, how many would be interested in signing a group complaint.
To help us ascertain numbers, please fill out this short form to confirm if you would like to take part or not: Family Law II Exam 18.05.2026 – Fill in form
In that form, there is also a question to sense-check what you, as the students affected, are looking for as a potential resolution. Whilst we cannot confirm that any suggestions you make about how the matter could be resolved will affect the decision-making process, it will help provide a direction and a level of understanding to the university.
Whilst this may be a distressing and unnerving time, please be assured that the SU are working directly with the university to help navigate this situation as quickly and favourably as possible. Should you have any additional concerns, or would like to discuss your situation individually, please fill out this Advice Form, and book in with an advisor using the link provided upon completion of the form: SOAS SU Advice Enquiry Form 2025/26 – Fill in form
In line with the Spring Bank Holiday, The Students’ Union team will return to work on Tuesday 26th May. We aim to update you on the progress of this matter later that week.
