Â
The prospect of undertaking University Research can be daunting to all of us, so why not take advantage of this 'free' (yes entirely free) course in Understanding Research Methods. This MOOC's - that is the inelegant "Massive Open Online Courses" - has been put together by our very own Dr J Simon Rofe (Centre for International Studies and Diplomacy) and Dr Yenn Lee (Academic Development Directorate).Â
Â
The course is free and open to any and everyone. It is designed to help students facing the prospect of undertaking research in whatever capacity be that in the first year, or for a 3rd year dissertation or as postgraduates facing their thesis. The course ran during the summer, and we are running it again now (Nov 3rd to Dec 21st) so SOAS students can take advantage of the course which reached 40000 students in its first iteration. So whether you are embarking on University research for the first time, or have a good deal of experience, the course has something for you to help you achieve in you studies.Â
Â
We look forward to seeing even more SOAS students amongst the thousands who have already signed up this time around.Â
