Toyi Toyi is a Southern African dance which was used in protests by the anti-apartheid movement in the struggle for liberation. In naming the party Toyi Toyi we hope to, in a light hearted manner, celebrate the history of struggle against the settler colonial Boer state.
The Joint ticket deal includes entry to the Beats Brass Bossa event at Venue 229 on Friday 3rd October.
If you are a new students starting in September 2014, your website account may not be active till you arrive on campus. You can register a guest account to purchase tickets and this will be merged with yout student account in October.
We do no charge any booking fees or card processing fees. The price listed next to the ticket is the price you pay!
If you would like to bring an enabler* along to Toyi! Toyi! or any Ticketed SOAS Union event; we offer a 2 for 1 deal. Simply come in to the union, call or email our Co-President Welfare & Campaigns to be able to add the free Access Ticket to your basket when purchasing tickets.
*An enabler is classed as a chaperone for a student with disabilities who is able to help with the access needs and requirements of that student.
