* The ruling from Jim Dickinson the Returning Officer was as follows:

At the close of polls a complaint was received relating to the campaign expenditure of Chuck Madekwe. An investigation was conducted which centred on the number of posters that had been purchased by the candidate and declared in receipts, and the apparent discrepancy between the declared number and the number on display across campus.

Having received evidence and put the issues to the candidate, in my view the campaign breached clearly defined expenditure limits and as such I rule the candidate be disqualified from the election. Any preferences for Chuck should be passed over during the count with papers redistributed to other candidates where possible.
