About Us
The aim of the MENA society is to represent and celebrate MENA culture and heritage whilst also encouraging, empowering and supporting MENA diaspora members at SOAS and beyond. We want to broaden the discussion and deepen the understanding of the MENA region by raising awareness and addressing major social and political issues within it. We host various events and activities that celebrate MENA culture such as cultural night, MENA talent shows and games night but also events that challenge misconceptions and stereotypes including debate nights, mental health talks and many more. We welcome all members of the SOAS community to participate in our events and activities as we believe this will enrich our collective experience.
