Healing and Learning - An evening of Black/African community, healing and learning

When: Thu 21 March 2019 19:00-21:00
Where: Room 116 (Main building)

On Thursday 21st March 2019, Omolayo and Art and the African Mind Society are inviting all Black/African SOAS students to an evening of healing our hearts and uplifting our minds.

We've worked hard all year to carve out our survival, it's now time to re-center. Activists in our community will lead sessions that help participants heal collectively and individually.

Participants will then have a chance to share their own healing methods for an evening of community and sharing. Sessions being lead include: Intentional Journaling, Art Therapy, and the Antiafrika healing method developed specifically for Black creatives and activists.

This is an opportunity to not only rejuvenate your spirit as the term comes to an end, but to also take away self-care practices you can use throughout Term 3 and the rest of your life.

Bring your heavy heart, your tired mind, and a notebook. ?

Yours in peace, solidarity and rejuvenation, AAM.

The session will run from 7-9pm in Room 116 (Main Building), and from then on we will have a open floor for everyone to share their own self-healing methods. Any questions feel free to contact the email below.

See you there!
