The SOAS Islamic Ethics and Jurisprudence Society (IEJS) aims to facilitate an academic platform for students across disciplines, to discuss general topics related to the inclusive study of the Islamic(ate), such topics may include but are not limited to, modern legal structures, Islamic jurisprudence and methodology, public policy, culture, etc. IEJS seeks to foster relationships amongst students and scholars from different academic backgrounds by sharing current research and contemporary themes through the organization of critically engaging reading groups and roundtable talks that are based on related peer-reviewed articles and books.
