People for Prisoners (P4P) society aims to support the fundamental human rights of prisoners in developing countries where conditions are critically poor. Our main focus is to cater to the needs of prisoners in overcrowded, poorly equipped and inefficient prison systems, particularly in Africa.
Ultimately our goal is to advance the cause of representing the voice of the downcast. In order to do so, we aim to create a network of Prisoners' Advocates by partnering with Activists and NGOs to work on projects which seek to maximize the impact of their efforts in improving conditions for prisoners. For example, increasing access to underprovided basic necessities in prisons, access to courts and legal aid, improving health and sanitation and other issues.
As a member of P4P, you can expect to be involved in fundraising activities, reaching out to people and firms for donations and sponsorship for projects, research into prison systems that critically could use our help as well as activists or organisations to partner with.
