Table Tennis

It is called the 'Club Society' because it is not yet a sports club but will be one one day but for now is a society hence why it is called club society.

We play every Thursday (except reading weeks and holidays) 5-7 in L67.

We have two table and bats and balls.

House rules are as follows:

Games are played to 11, you have to win by 2, so if you get to 10-10 you need to win 12-10, 13-11, 14-12 etc...

Serves are freeform, i.e. they don't have to be cross table (crossing the line from right to left, e.g.)

2 serves each, even after 10-10

Play to serve, bounce the ball across the table (with a throw not a paddle hit), the ball must then be hit three times, and then you go for it and try and score the point. The winner of this bout is the initial server. Obviously you can skip this if you just want to decide who will serve first.

If the ball hits the net on a serve but still crosses and lands on the opponents side, the serve will be replayed (call LET)

There are no second serves in Table Tennis, if you miss or hit the net (and it does NOT pass over), you lose the point
