Greetings everyone and welcome to SOAS Students Union freshers week. We can’t begin to express how excited we are to be welcoming you all in the coming week! We hope you are excited too because joining SOAS Students Union is one of the best things you will EVER do. The union is at the very core of the student experience, it is your voice, your space, your vehicle and for many of you it will become your second home. We are here to help to listen and to empower you to achieve all the things you want to achieve while at university. Whether this is by helping you join sports teams/societies, volunteering in charity projects or protesting against the overfishing of tuna in our oceans we are here to listen and help make it possible.
All that comes later however, right now its fresher week, which means it’s time to have some fun, make some friends, dance badly and be merry. We have been really busy over the summer, making sure that this year’s freshers week is BIGGER AND BETTER THAN EVER and here are just a few of the great events we will be bringing you.

BEGINNING BITE AT THE BISTRO 1pm – 5:30pm @ THE BISTRO DE LA GARE
Why not begin your SOAS experience in true SOASian manner! We will be having an indoor picnic at the Bistro De La Gar on Pentonville Road (just across the road from Dinwiddy). The food will be provided by FreeCycle, so no need to worry about the monies! Come, be merry and meet each other around our table of free food!
