A quick note to everyone to notify you that the Union Elections are back upon us. The following posts for the Academic Year 2010-2011 running fromAugust to August. There are three full-time Sabbatical Posts (students who take a year off or a year after their subject) and eleven non-sabbatical posts. Nominations will open at 10am Monday 2nd February and close on Thursday 25/2/10 5pm SHARP.
There will be a week of campaigning and then ballots will open on 8/3/10 – 11/3/10 – with the results coming out on the evening of the 11/3/10. (Students’ studying abroad will be able run and to vote online for the first time this year)

Electronic nomination packs can be obtained by e-mailing pb14@soas.ac.uk , hard copy packs can be picked up in the office G7 (note, nominations will be electronic this year to allow year abroad students to take part). You can download the pack below.
If you have any further queries about the election or have any questions you also contact the Deputy Returning Officer Peter Baran by e-mail on pb14@soas.ac.uk or just pop in to room G7. Feel free to come and talk about the positions and the work entailed or contact current officers to ask about it. The Union is keen to get as many nominations as possible to represent the extremely diverse population we have in SOAS.
